Hello, my name is Grainne, Multi Award Winning HMUA and my absolute passion is creating soft, elegant, naturally glamorous bridal makeup looks, designed to ensure you feel beautiful all day. Your make up & hair is an essential and integral part of your bridal style. This first blog post is an exciting opportunity for me to welcome you into my fascinating world, where creating beautiful luxurious bridal hair and makeup looks is an exciting and rewarding part of my everyday life.

As a little girl, I was always interested in makeup. Ironically, however, I ended up in the childcare sector instead. I enjoyed my job, but my creative passions became too loud to ignore. After having my daughter Amber (who is now 12), I had the perfect opportunity to embark on a new adventure. Finally, the rebellious teenager who had allowed the childcare world to tame her, realised her passion. I undertook an ITEC course to help me perfect my art. I began with family and friends and eventually branched into the wedding world, travelling throughout Ireland offering a freelance service. I loved it so much. I got to share the laughs and tears of people on the most important day of their life. It’s a total honour to become the person my bride’s look to, and to become the voice of calm on the morning. To feel them put their total trust in me is beyond a privilege. I wanted to continue on this path so I began to explore the craft and push my limits. I wanted to offer top class services to my clients by understanding their personalities… their skin imperfections, their sensitive skin, their allergies, and their desires and work accordingly & offer something unique to my Brides. After taking these all into consideration and with extensive research I decided my education did not stop there so off to London Pinewood Studios I went, to continue my education in the beauty industry & got specialist training in the Art of High-Definition Airbrush Make Up which I fell in love with. Airbrushed makeup has an ultra smooth finish that looks great in photos. It got its start on the red carpet and is used by makeup artists to the stars. Airbrushed makeup will give your skin a red -carpet -worthy finish that will translate beautifully in all the gorgeous shots ,both close up and from afar, that your photographer captures. Due to its highly durable benefits, it is the most sought after method of makeup application for brides world-wide. I will go into the airbrushing in a later blog.

Over the years, I realised that I love to work with Brides to create their personal vision and decided to push myself further and again offer more to future Brides.
