Welcome to my website Make Up Matters. I’m Grainne, a multi award winning make up artist and highly skilled upstylist, offering bespoke bridal hair and makeup services, tailor made to suit your requirements, perfect for today’s stylish bride.

With an abundance of experience, over 14 years, in all styles of makeup (not just bridal makeup) you can have complete confidence in me to transform you into the bride you’ve dreamt of, no matter what your style and taste.

Bridal makeup is a passion of mine. Your wedding day is one of the most important days of your life and if there is any day you want your hair and makeup to be on point it’s your wedding day. Those photos will last a lifetime.

I believe that all Brides deserve the best service and expertise on their special day. I thrive off magic, the magic of relationships, the magic of love, the magic of beauty, the magic of transformations taking natural beauty to the next level.

My love is transforming someone so when they look into the mirror they are lost for words. I always feel privileged to be part of that special time of the wedding morning, giving not just makeup / hair, but calming a nervous Bride, doing up fiddly buttons and distracting the young bridesmaids. Seeing the Brides’ confidence grow after the makeup is applied, is very rewarding.

Grainne did my Make Up for my wedding in August, and it was absolutely fab. Stayed put all day (even through some tears!) And really looked so flawless in the photos. I was complimented on it all day, and would definitally reccomend the airbrushing. Grainne herself was so lovely, nothing was too much hassle and her calm and cheerful attitude was a godsend to me on the day - she even gave me a great tip on how to stop myself from crying if i felt the tears coming (again!). Great service from beginning to end!

She is an amazing makeup artist, extremely professional and really knows her stuff. She was a great addition to the craic and calming us all when we needed it.
